The new academic year has started in Serbia

The academic year 2020-2021 has started at the beginning of October in Serbia. Unfortunately, the coronavirus crisis is still ongoing, and Serbian higher education institutions had to adjust to this new normality. In a situation where social gatherings are limited to 30 people indoors, Serbian higher education institutions had to organize their work differently and develop a hybrid learning system for students. As a result, the lectures are held online, and practical classes take place in person, as long as this conforms to social distancing requirements.

There will probably be a mixture of in-person exams and other alternative forms of assessment, the same as it was at the end of the previous academic year.

Masks are mandatory in indoor public places, such as universities, faculties, malls, and public transportation. The borders remain open to foreigners, with some restrictions. To learn more about travel restrictions for entering the country, please click this link.
